Donut Dash 5K

Welcome to the 7th Annual “Tracy PAL Donut Dash” benefiting the Tracy community and the Police Activities League (PAL). This exciting community event promotes youth development, fitness, and public safety while raising funds to support PAL’s mentorship, educational, and recreational programs that serve youth in our community.

• 5K Donut Dash (Run or Walk)
• 5k “Bossy Boy” Medley Relays
• Donut Eating Competition

Registration periods:

• $42+ registration fees (March 29th – April 20th)
• $47+ registration fees (April 21st – May 18th)
• $52+ registration fees (May 19th – June 5th
• Last Year Sold Out – 147 spots available.
• Registration Closes at Thursday June 5th at 11:59am)
• Must be a race entrant to be qualified to enter Donut Eating Competition

• 8:00am “High School Medley Relay” featuring local High Schools.
• 8:05am “Public Safety Medley Relay” featuring Tracy Fire, Tracy PAL, and other teams pending RSVP.

Honoring “Bossy Boy” – You may have noticed that handsome fella in the 2025 Tracy PAL Donut Dash finisher medal above. Well, that yellow lab is no other than Tracy Police K9 “Boss” aka “Bossy Boy”. Recently, Bossy Boy, who served the Tracy PD from 2014-2018 with partner Lt Hicks, recently passed away. For those of you who did not have the pleasure of knowing him, K9 Boss was a yellow lab (although we suspect there was some Vizsla in his bloodline), and helped to launch SIU’s interdiction program. K9 Boss’ nose for probable cause was directly responsible for nearly 5 million in cash seizures related to illicit drugs, and over 1100 pounds of illegal marijuana and other drugs. After finishing his tour in SIU, K9 Boss enjoyed retirement and quickly took to his new full-time role of watching over the Hicks kids. Tracy Police Activities League is proud to honor his service to the community with a lifetime of connection as mascot for the Tracy PAL Donut Dash. RIP Bossy Boy.
